    It was great.
I mean, I assume it would have been better if it had been Original with (or without) Subtitles, but nevertheless, it were 4 hours well spent.

Especially Teatime (in the german Version called Kaffeetrinkén [Coffeedrinkíng]) was well done

I heard we even were able to see the Master himself, as it was Pratchett who played the Toymaker (in the shop where Alberts nose was frozen to the store window)
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"

I was going to say that someone has already cut it up into 22 segments and posted it on YouTube. If you're going to watch it there I'd suggest doing it now, I'm willing to bet that it will be removed eventually.

Actually, I believe that The Colour of Magic is currently being made for screening next year. I gather that Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee) is in it.

How they'll replace the late, great Ian Richardson (peace be upon him) as the voice of Death I don't know.

Is the guy who played Albert in Hogfather still supposed to be Rincewind in Color of Magic?

I hope not...he was fine as Albert, but he lacks the requisite permanently-scared-rabbit look to play Rincewind. Particularly since they already had the guy that would fit better in Hogfather (and he was already even a wizard!)

I'd heard that David Jason was in it, and wouldn't be surprised if he was Rincewind, but I would be disappointed.

He's a big name, and an over-rated one. Sky, who are making these adaptations, billboarded his name for Hogfather even though he played a relatively minor character. Now they will be doing the same again, but perhaps giving Jason the lead role. Shame, really.

                  How annoying.

                  Wiki says:

The Mob Film Company and Sky One are producing a miniseries, combining both The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic to be broadcast in 2008. Sir David Jason will be playing the part of Rincewind. Christopher Lee will be taking over the role of Death from Ian Richardson (a role he previously portrayed in the animated series Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters).

                  Sir David Jason Rincewind
                  Sean Astin Twoflower
                  Tim Curry Trymon
                  Christopher Lee Voice of Death
                  Nigel Planer Arch-Astronomer
                  Nicholas Tennant Librarian (pre-transformation)
                  David Bradley Cohen the Barbarian
                  Karen David Liessa Dragonlady
                  Laura Haddock Bethan
Liz May Brice Herrena (the Henna-Haired Harridan)

The more important question is, are they getting Carrottop to play the Librarian post-transformation

The more importan question is, don't they realize that Two Flower is Chinese? This is really going to put a ding in the storyline of Interesting Times

Unfortunately, somehow I think Jet Li as Twoflower wouldn't work very well...

I'd guess Paris Hilton. She's the most famous box in Hollywood.
