Sounds like a lame marketing gimmick. PB never has trans fat anyway. Shortening is never a peanut butter ingredient and nothing in peanut butter would contain trans fat.
Just for the record, I love Skippy. Crunchy or creamy, both are great. The reduced fat is crap though.
JIF is pretty good too. Adams no-stir is really good (less sugary) until it gets cold once, then it gets too hard/runny depending on the temp. Most of the un-no-stir kinds I've tried are good on sandwiches, but too runny to just eat a glob on a spoon.

Normal PB has a small amount of trans fat. It's not a huge amount, so I don't worry about it when I don't have a good alternative (ie, I am not willing to force myself to eat crap natural stuff), but why not eat a better PB when it's available?
(Normal PB lists 0 g transfats, but that's because food manufacturers have the **** FDA in their pocket, and are allowed to list transfats in GRAMS, and list a 0 when it's <0.5g. Anything containing hydrogenated vegetable oil, such as most PBs, contains some trans fats.) Look on the label. Any "normal" PB will have a small amount as one of the last ingredients; it is used for consistency, because it mixes in properly while most other oils (including peanut oil!) do not mix in (hence the 'natural' PB issues with oil separation).
