    very often yes

especially since the IDF is very small.

Naw. The service you performed deserves recognition.

What did you blur out? And is that the rank insignia for Captain?

1st or 2nd? or do you have only one.

Or I guess I could just google it

*fondly remembers the days when he could walk around army and air force bases and be called "captain"*

I have a platoon commander pin (obligatory when you finish officer's course) on the collar

The two metal black colored bars are for Lieutenant.
We have only 2 Lieutenant ranks - 2nd Lieutenant and Leutanant (senior one).

                  I'm a Lieutenant

I blurred out the branch, unit and training insignia.
It's not totally secret, but i don't want it appearing next to my name on the internets.

Israel has a Pentagon? did you steal it on 9/11 when you pretended to shoot that cruise missile at it?

Actually it's an oddly shaped base that hosts the Israeli high command and the commands of all branches, and the general staff.

and it is not suited for sleeping over, nor is it very cosy...

I won first prize for "most likable lama" at a country fair. I guess it's sort of like the Israeli army, except with less shooting and exploding Arabs.
