Just because the Judiciary of Florida is corrupt does not mean he did not win.

    He won.

Even if he was not given what he won, he had a majority of the electorate vote and a majority of the popular vote.

That's irrelevent. It's the progression of society's acceptance of various groups that is the point.

Just as the hypothetical Atheist/Agnostic President wouldn't have had to have lived in a time when Atheist/Agnostics had no shot at being President to illustrate a progression.

Oh it is not relevant, I was just pointing it out because it is a little known fact I find funny.

hell I don't even think the U.S. will have a woman prez. I hear Hilary's poll numbers are dropping because she's a woman.

What the hell is wrong with american voters? I don't plan on voting for Hilary, but not because she's a woman. But because she's a phony.

I think the real question we need to ask here is what if jesus ran for president as an atheist?

He has lied and reversed half his policies and views since he started running for president.

He supports torture and ****ting on our constitution.

I was ROOTING for him to run before he ran. If you asked me 2 years ago if I would vote for him in 2008, I would say I would, with enthusiasim.

After he announced, I quickly changed my views. He is as much of a phony as Hillary.

                    You don't vote for politicians?

Yeah I figured someone would bring this up. Yes most (if not all) politicians are phonies. You could say I support them until their phoniness is brought to light. Although what that really boils down to, is I vote for politicians who hide their motivations really well, and aren't actually honest in their platform. But I like to think there's a slim chance they are actually honest.

                        To answer the OP:

Not in our lifetimes, no. If the US is still around in a couple centuries, maybe.

I highly doubt we'll see a non-white President in our lifetimes, and give the chance of seeing a female president before I die slightly less that 50-50 odds.

I agree. I think the earlier guess of 50 years is way too short.

The US has already had an agnostic president, one who was elected even though his opponents demonized him as an athiest throughout the campaign. Y'all really need to read up on the election of 1800.

So "ever again" would have been better?

Probably, though maybe I'm just being pedantic. Still, it's always worth remembering Jefferson in these discussions; unlike figures who just ignored religion (FDR) or who feigned religiosity for political ends (Reagan), he was the real deal.
