I love vegetables. Squash, marrow, Japanese eggplants, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini - all these are fun and pleasant shapes.

I also enjoy eating vegetables a lot too.

Potatoes are a must! Also rice, pasta
I'll grant Potatoes as a vegetable but rice and pasta (typicaly made from wheat) are unambiguously GRAINS!

              Is this a trick?

              If not, thanks.

                Grains are not vegetables?

Well I guess the food pyramid as far as diet goes has always been wrong then. It displays grains separately from vegetables.

Generally not, but sweet corn is often referred to as vegetable because it's often being used like peas or beans etc. in dishes.
I refer to it as grain, however, because my son (5) decided not to like vegetables at all, so I sold sweet corn as "grain".

Anyhow, if you make flour out of something, it ceases to be a vegetable to me. Thus, dumplings made of potato-flour don't count either.

I only like them if they´re in form of Swiss roesti or French fries (for our republican friends: I mean those things you call freeedom fries )

But given the choice between potatoes or rice I would definitely choose rice.
There are many ways to prepare potatoes. It's like rice. Without any sauce or additives it's plain and dry, but with a little extra it can be truly delicious.

I have never met a vegatable (type) I didn't like. I can't say the same about any other food group.

Anybody tried quinoa? I first tried it about a year ago, and haven't had it since then. I liked it a lot and I'm hoping to get my Peruvian friends to cook it again!

I love vegetables in lots of things. I only put up with most salads though (and I Don't like dressing).
