True. Chevy's website has them. Highway is 22 mpg for their regular hybrid, 20 mpg for the 4x4.

Zkribbler - I could post pictures of what a "sensible, space-conscious Smart Fortwo" (and it's apparently "sensible" occupants) looks like after an accident but this is a family site... Needless to say these folks don't look anywhere as smart then.

with so many car experts assembled here, I have an a bit off topic question (it is about cars, though).
A local newspaper have compared four cars, Ford Mondeo 2.0, Kia Magentis, Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger. The two american cars was merciless shot down as you would do with a wild dog with rabies.
Avenger : diesel engine that sounds like an retirement ready Mack truck (an VW engine to be fair), wind noise like an Volvo 144, assembly quality that would made a Lada worker ashamed; interior low quality plasitc with remnants from the molding form and it cost 50 k$ more than the Kia.
Sebring : it's a luxury version of the Avenger, interior have leather, wooden panels, aluminium and chrome though all made of nice looking plastic.Gearshift is a mess, clutch the same and steering just as "talkative" as a mafiaboss. The engine sounds like a V8 that has got amputated one row of cylinders and nothing happens when hitting the speeder in fifth. It has 156 hp, but nothing really happens before you reach 5000 rpm.
Compared to that, Mondeo and Kia is considered as high quality assembly, interior and performance.
Not knowing anything about Chrysler and Doge, is that a fair description ?With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

The only one of the four I have driven is the Sebring. I never had any acceleration issues with them (I drove many).
I would concur with the "talkative" steering ( ) however. It is a tad loose.

Well, I have a Mondeo 1.8 1998 with 220.000 km and is actually quite satisfied by it's performance (I don't want to send it to 5000 rpm in fifth - that would send me above 180
) Despite it's age and mileage, both out and inner is pretty speckless (well, it do need a vacuum).
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

That is not an unreasonable statement when concerning hybrid cars. Consider that when the speed falls below a certain level, the car switches to electric until the speed goes back above the certain level. That means that the electric battery is in use far more in city driving than in highway driving (ie, not at all unless you are in a traffic jamOriginally posted by Apocalypse
