    And a lot of systems do not have enough. Windows runs much better if not short on ram, and all thoses other little resident applications and processes need a some also, not to metniton big games. The most common baottle neck currently, however, seems to be not enough cache on the hot new processer chipsets.

      Thanks to those who helped me here.

      I now have a gig of DDR RAM and the comp is doing much better.
