No. Originally from the US, by Nullsoft, until AOL bought them.

You might be mixing it up with the original developers of ICQ, Mirabilis (they too were bought by AOL), which did come from Israel.

I just wondered why Siro was advertising it

Shiva, are you talking about this thing?

It's always been there, and I doubt you'd've missed something like that--what exactly are you referring to?

Here's where it is on Bento:

I actually favor Jinzora, but then again, I have access to a home server, so.

According to this site, Winamp 2.7 and later correctly decode mp3s..I don't see why you'd need another decoder?

The only way you could decode mp3's differently is to decode them incorrectly.

According to the website, it decodes mp3s "more accurately"...which is an absurd conclusion if one understands how MP3s work. Sounds like another psycho-acoustic plugin, disguised as something else.

Just knowing you have a better decoder probably lets you imagine the music sounds better placebo effect...

Judging from reader comments, it looks like it essentially modifies the balance of the song to add more bass...an equalizer preset of sorts.

I installed it to try it, and I couldn't tell a difference.

Of course, Winamp's decoder is now at 4.1, or some such...
