Ahem. From Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince:

This younger Albus Dumbledore's long hair and beard were auburn. Having reached their side of the street, he strode off along the pavement, drawing many curious glances due to the flamboyantly cut suit of plum velvet that he was wearing.
Does seem a bit gay, in a good way .

Somebody on digg made an amazing comment:
When is she gonna reveal the whole series is gay?

It's stupid. Nothing was ever done to insinuate being gay. If anything, the hag is trying to keep interest in the series high, by whatever method.

According to E! during filming of the 6th book the producer wanted to include a girlfriend for Dumbledore so she wrote back a brief note stating that Dumbledore was gay. It may be that she had not ever really thought about his sexuality before, but that she wanted to keep the producer from altering her story.

Anyway, Jerry Falwell is dead and his son is not likely to ever achieve his dad's notoriety.

So that's why Snape killed Dumbledore.

A character's sexuality is of no concern whatsoever to slash writers. They will write whatever they want regardless.

That´s the good thing about making a book series that, from the begnning on, offended religious nutters (because of magic). You don´t have to care about their feelings and can freely introduce characters that piss them off even more (like homosexual magicans).

Maybe Rowling should also make Hermine bisexual (if she hasn´t already done it, I never read any HP book, only watched the movies)

I think bisexual Hermione would have even gotten more cheers from the audience.

This is a shrewd move by Rowling. This story is going to run for months as various nutcases use this as ammunition against the books.

I remember coming across an article by a 'queer theorist' complaining that the Harry Potter books were mildly homophobic as they lack any 'camp' characters. How very wrong.
