The "phony soldiers" Rush talked about were ones like Jesse Macbeth.

DD- Yes. I rarely will follow a link from here. If it is important enough to talk about it is important enough to post.

Jesse Macbeth is a dickwad. I don't see how that makes all the "soldiers" opposed to the war "phoney". Is that really why you think anyone would regret signing that document?

                    Context, context, context.

Rush had been talking about soldiers like Macbeth all that week (note the date of that thread, I had heard about it on his show), and Reid took a comment refering to that way out of context.

Ah. Now I understand you. I didn't understand how you could possibly defend the other position. Although if I guess correctly, the other position is how Reid and the others are now spinning this...

The other part of this story is how 41 senators spent government time and money to send a letter to a radio commentor's boss to get him to shut up.

They gave up, they are just pretending the letter never happened now.

Yes, I'm sure the two minutes to dictate that and the 4 seconds to sign is a travesty.

Geez, I thought "conservatives" liked it when the government wasted time because it kept them out of the people's hair.

I take it you didn't see Reid's presentation on the floor of the Senate, then?
