Well it's done now. Wasn't too bad, took about 15 minutes, there was no pain other than the needle at the start, which I always hate. Feel much better now, no more headaches caused by the tooth. (I've been having this problem since February!).

I also didn't like the feeling of my tooth being pulled out. It was just too weird for me.

When I was young and just a bad little kid.
My mama noticed funny things I did.
Like shooting puppies with a BB gun.
I'd poison guppies, and when I was done,
I'd find a pussycat and bash in it's head,
        Thats when my mama said

(Backup Singers) What did she say?

She said, my boy I think some day,
        will find a way,
To make your natural tendencies pay.

        (Chorus)
        You'll be a dentist. (You'll be a dentist)
You have a talent for causing great pain.
Son, be a dentist. (Son, be a dentist)
People will pay you to be inhumane. (Inhumane)
Your temperment's wrong for the priesthood.

Son, be a dentist, you'll be a success.

        (Backup Singer)
Here he is, folks, the leader of the plaque,
Watch him suck up that gas, oh, my God.
He's a dentist and he'll never ever be any good.

(patient)Oh, that hurts! Wait, I'm not numb.

Ah shut up, open wide, here I come.

        I am your dentist,
and I enjoy the career that I picked. (Love it)
I'm your dentist, and I get off on the pain I inflict. (Really love it)
I thrill when I drill a bicuspid (Bicuspid)
and swell when they tell me I'm mal-adjusted. (dentist)
And though it may cause my patients to stress. (To stress)
Somewhere, somewhere in heaven above me, I know, I know that my mama's proud of me.
        (Spoken)"Oh, mama"
        'Cause I'm a dentist, and a success.

        (Spoken)
        Say AHHHH!
        "(AHHHH)"
        Say AHHHHH!!
        "(AHHHHH)"
        SAY AHHHHHHHH!
        "(AHHHHHHHH)"

        Now Spit!

Bah, that's nothing. A friend of my sister's first husband took out his own impacted wisdom tooth with nothing but pliers, a hunting knife and a bottle of bourbon.

I will say the use of the topical numbers (less technical term)

where they numb the surface before needles helps

In addition, it feels worse when its the bottom (jawbone) teeth as the bigger teeth seems to be making your jaw rock when they are extracting.

No way around it though, the anticipation is 10X worse than the procedure, still, there is allways the chance the nerve dont get numbed, then oh heck...

I have four wisdom teeth out one day, two pulled intact, and two had to be cut in half. Its hurts when the inflamation comes up somes hours later, but the better dentists today lathe the wounds with anti-inflamitory medicine during the procedure. Back then I found ice packs to be more efficatious than even prescripion pain medicine.

I had all four wisdom teeth out at age 18. The dentist said I would have likely had enough room in my mouth for them but since I lucked out and got really straight teeth (even dentists have asked me if I had braces; I haven't) he didn't want to risk the wisdom teeth pushing the others out of line. It sucked at the time but over all it was good I handled it when I did.
