George Lucas, not content to let dead horse lie, begins raping it with lightsaber...
Maybe the TV series can be even more overtly racist/stereotypical than the three prequel movies. You could just call one of the characters Crusty Old Jewish Merchant or perhaps Conniving Chinese Imperialist instead of just formulating alien characters around them.
"The French caused the war [Persian Gulf war, 1991]" - Ned
"you people who bash Bush have no appreciation for one of the great presidents in our history." - Ned
"I wish I had gay sex in the boy scouts" - Dissident
I can't remember the name of the author of Dark Empires -- the story where Luke turns to the Dark Side. It hokey in a few places but otherwise very good.
I'm still not too sure about that Palpatine fellow. Something about him seems.. I don't know, not one hundred percent right. It's probably just my imagination though.
Maybe the TV series will help straighten a few things out.
The guy who should've written the original series If they ever make another trilogy, it had better be his first series... Thrawn
Good in places (the best out ther, which isn't saying much), but minimalists. You see Thrawn use less than a sector fleet (far less) in all three books.

It is a comic book/graphic novel, so it has all the plot holes and detail problems you would expect to come with that. Very entertaining though
"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.
You have no idea. I stood in a long line on a cold, windy, wet morning with hundreds of other smelly, costumed people just so that I could be in the same room as Lucas. I am a loser.
I'm starting to see a pattern here.
Spec.
-Never argue with an idiot; He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
I think he should go back in time and base the series on something like the "Knights of the Old Republic" game, or even go back to the original conflict between the Jedi and the Sith.
What if the plot could revolve around both the "Old Republic" era and the "EU" era (which mostly covers the period after the re-establishment of the Republic). Time travelers between the two eras attempt to sabotage the original victory of the Sith, thereby changing the last 10,000 years of the Republic from domination by the Jedi to a 10,000 year Empire dominated by the Sith. Oh, Oh, Oh, that would work even better than the "Temporal Cold War" worked out for the TV series Enterprise .
"I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!

If you take a human stereotype and apply it to something not even recognizably human and give it a different name and background how are you reinforcing or even acknowledging the stereotype?
I don't understand why people called lucas a racist for borrowing stereotypes for his space aliens.
