Unfortunately, the Lib Dems are hamstrung by their excessive reliance on tactical voting and their unwillingness to push 'big messages' for fear of upsetting this.Comment

It's a sad fact that to engage the majority of voters today to need a charismatic leader as much as policies. I would fall asleep listening to him. Also, he appeared very frail and doddery on tv, people want a "strong" leader, and appearance counts a lot for that. Finally, it was a bit embarrassing watching the Lib Dems appear to make him vibrant. Did you see the last party political broadcast with him playing football with some young kids? When he kicked the ball to score the goal (what a winner!!), it was an extremely crap shot, and god knows how many takes they had to try before they got that...Originally posted by Cort Haus
