Seriously? The next Mid East war will probably be over water
Probably, and what does that have to do with global warming?

While fresh water resources are already scarce in the ME, global climate change is reducing that even further. While polar regions will benefit from climate change, areas around the tropics will see immediate problems. A rise in temperature to the ME would be disasterous on the retaining of fresh water.

I think Osama Bin Laden should have won. He's furthering the cause of peace through a concentrated effort to kill all Jews and infidels. Once they are all dead there won't be anyone else left to kill and peace will finally reign!

Hey Dino was right. This is easy.

          You can't be serious.

And I fail to see how people can go ape **** over this one and yet think Mother Teresa's prize was ok. Yes, she alleviated poverty. That's a great thing... but for a peace prize? Or Hell, the ILO in '69.

So, making people happy without the need for taking something from somebody else at the muzzle of a gun doesn't constitute peace? You've got a strange definition for it.

Uh... I'm 100% serious. Drinking water is a HUGE issue in the Mid East. The entire Isreali-Palestinian issue is wrapped up in it for one (who controls the water was a major sticking point in the last go around for negotiations).

Making people happy is now our definition for peace? I thought it was the lack of warfare, silly me. Hell, if making people happy is the standard, where is Hugh Hefner's?

I would hazard to say that the resource crunch in regards to water in the ME is either not at all or insignificantly effected by global warming right now and won't be in the near future.

There problem is a ballooning population and unwise land management. Just like LA!

You are aware, aren't you, that the "inventor of the internet" line is a right-wing distortion. They got ahold of a quote by him where he said he helped create the internet (by getting federal funding for it), and right-wing loons changed the quote to "create" and then attacked their own strawman saying he didn't have the scientic background necessary to "create" it. He never claimed to have written the code; he said he got the funding. Why can't people on the right tell the truth??

I won't go ape**** over who is awarded the NPP, and I am consistent - Mother Teresa winning any sort of prize is pathetic.

Please cite your source where Al Qaeda received a Nobel Peace Prize.

                      1973
HENRY A. KISSINGER, Secretary of State, State Department, Washington and LE DUC THO, Democratic Republic of Viet Nam (Declined the prize) for jointly negotiating the Vietnam peace accord.

                      1994
YASSER ARAFAT, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PLO and President of the Palestinian National Authority, SHIMON PERES, Foreign Minister of Israel, YITZHAK RABIN, Prime Minister of Israel for their efforts to create peace in the Middle East.

Kinda big deals for those individuals to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Good for him, he served alongside thousands of other UN Peacekeeping forces who jointly received recognition for their service.

The main issue here is that this movie is being shown to schoolchildren. It is a very bad message (even if AGW is correct) to send that it is OK to tell lies and half-truths along the way, so long as your conclusion is correct.

Add in the uncertainties around this issue, and it's plain that this is indoctrination not education. Children ought to be told how to think, not what to think.

They're following the high standards for lying set by the left. "An inconvenient truth" is just one of many examples.

Anyways, was this 9 errors or 11 errors? All right-wing sites laud 11, the judge states 9, who do I believe?
