You can't lose money making a profit.

Take out however much you need for a comfortable cash reserve at this point, so you don't lose everything in a crash. Then look for undervalued companies and invest in them as you find them.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

If I give you advise in this thread, do the opposite!

Are you suggesting that we sell high and buy low??

That's a strategy I have yet to try.

No, he means do the opposite of giving advice. Giving misinformation, perhaps.

Ergo, if Lancer gives you advice - you should lie to him.

The opposite is to not give Lancer advice in other threads.

DanS - Good job on your advice! I have no interest in financial affairs but I was as impressed as VetLegion with the precise questions.

The trick there is recognizing each for what it is. Since few really have that particular ability, it's better to sell a portion while a spike like this is still going up. If it starts going down before you sell, you're likely to get caught in a crash as everyone runs to get out before it all comes down.

Our stock market seems to be very similar.

My portfolio rose over 100% since last October. I think there is still some growth left in the market but it is bound to crash and I don't want to loose a lot so I am thinking about getting a more conservative portfolio.

Is rise in prices attributed to Bulgaria's entry into EU? If so, maybe there is still growth potential in Croatia, which is not a member yet

The market has been going up for the last 5 years. Joining the EU was surely a factor. For example when they announced the decision to accept Bulgaria into the EU last year the market went up 15% in a day.

Do they have Day traders in Bulgaria or is the market to small for that?
