Twist yourself around, insert your head up your arse and that problem is solved. Right cheek right click...etc.

Though I see a sharp downward trend for you Japh, I yet hope the 'hell' bit can be avoided somehow.

We're working on borrowing a mouse to see if it's a mechanical issue. If it's a software issue then I have the disks to reformat the system, but I have a game of Civ4 going that I would hate to lose.

              Any advise?
i used my computer for two days once without a mouse. it's really not hard.

              Alt + F4
              Alt + Tab
              Shift + Tab
              Tab
              Arrow Keys.
that's about all i used i think. oh plus all those letters and stuff for typing.

Lancer: get one of those newfangled mice with no ball. They're good.

Wireless or wired doesn't matter a lot, get a wired one if you do a lot of gaming where response time matters (FPS) but for civ they're both fine, get whichever you feel like. Wireless costs more but has no wires.

I have a wireless home and I'm just waiting for it to break so I can replace it. I hate it. I bought the one I want for at work on my laptop. Speaking of worthless mouses, I can't work a laptop mouse to save my life.

As it happens explaining the concept of wireless to my father in law through an interpreter was just too much of a burden to contemplate so a wired one is on its way.

I have optical mice at home and work....I like them

As for the ones with the balls on the top, I know some people think they're great. I can't work them.

Balls on the bottom seems more natural.

Yes, they seem to work well with my joystick.
