    Which is the best race?

    Clearly, it was Ferengi.

    The rules of acquisition? The treatment of females in Ferengi society? We have a winner.

    Definitely Klingon. The ferengi were just too sneaky for my liking. I want my bad guys to wear it on their sleaves.

      I would have thought that the Klingons would be more your style. Repressed warrior culture that likes leather = teh gay.

                Early-TNG Ferengi with Marauders that cna take down the Enterprises's shields were awesome.

                Later? Not so much.

                  I saw some of the DS9 Ferengi episodes again recently. They were brilliant.

                  "Ferengi" is an Arabic name for European Traders.

                    Please, they became fleshed out in DS9. That's when they were at the best.

                      They went from "Yankee Traders" badasses with lightening whips to "ohgodpleasedon'tkill" pussies. There's no reason why they couldn't have included the cultural aspects that you mentioned, but there was no reason why they went and made them the biggest pansies outside of the Federation.

                        There's no money in killing people. It's best to keep them alive an exploit them.

                        There's more to being a badass than just swinging a weapon around, Lonestar. One day, when you leave the military, you will grow to appreciate how badass economic manipulators are.

                              On a sort-of related note, is it just me or does Archer from Enterprise look a lot like our current President? I always feel faintly surprised when he doesn't stumble over big or strange words like "tachyon."
