Heh. I thought you were going to go for a more esoteric answer. I suppose I should have expected that response.

Me? Esoteric? Never.
Do I look like a filosofofofical major to you?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

< ari> Why do computer scientists have such a low opinion of philosophers?
<@spb> depends which sort of computer scientist and which sort of philosopher
< ari> The kind of computer scientist that tends to have a low opinion of the kind of philosopher that the kind of computer scientist that tends to have a low opinion of this kind of philosopher tends to have a low opinion of.
Isn't the last sentence a tautology?

I'll try to reword Ari's last sentence without changing its meaning.
The kind of computer scientist that tends to have a low opinion of...
(something)
That something being:
The kind of philosopher that the kind of computer scientist that tends to have a low opinion of this kind of philosopher tends to have a low opinion of.
Which can also be phrased without redundancy as:
The kind of philosopher that some computer scientists tend to have a low opinion of.
Combining back with part one:
The kind of computer scientist that tends to have a low opinion of... the kind of philosopher that some computer scientists tend to have a low opinion of.
Now it is easy to understand.
