    • If you understand Pekkas rants please do me the favor of explaining them to me. I've asked everyone and anyone to do that. I'm not ignoring them. I'm asking for intelligent debate, instead of hatefull rants.

And why do you think there can only be one problem? I'm against hierarchial society and authoritarianism. I'm mostly interested in people like you and Pekka getting your head out of your ass. That in itself would make me very happy.
The poisonous notion of collective guilt is ridiculous, fanatic, authoritarian and downright pernicious. At what age does a man become guilty? At birth? At conception? Or when socialised into the role? If it's the latter, then men are not responsible personally and it's the social / economic system that it.
You are ignorant. You don't know what feminism is about, or you wouldn't have to ask this question. Individuals aren't responsible for hierarchial societies, society is. Feminism isn't about hate period. It's about changing society.
However, having seen you contemptuously ignore Pekka's patient debate and explainations, while striking ridiculous moral postures and blaming his penis, I'll have to put this thread down as another Kidjack Troll Fest Spectaculaire and bid it farewell.

      :sigh:
      'Whatever. Good bye.

It's been explained to you more than once, an effort has been made to clear it out for you. At this point I can say that I'm not going to write a book for you.

And I'll see when you get it, since then you're actually dealign with the argument, that has also been explained few times already, so it's not cryptic or hidden. Before that, I'll just have to wait until you get it or simply accept that you didn't get it and leave.
        Don't forget that he's a racist, Pekka.

          • That was a response to your sexist claims. You see, I also like to just accuse people of things without no evidence what so ever. Except mine was just to joke around with your ridiculous claim. It seems that you didn't get that one either.

You pulled the equivalent of Godwin earlier. That's kind of the point.

            • Pekka. Make a good argument now. If you don't like feminism, argue against it.

                • Perhaps Pekka's distaste for radical feminism lies in its overtones of sexism towards men. Granted, radical feminists have made few proposals to restrict mens' rights, but it's only a matter of time before they rise up to enslave us all.

"My GF said" and "extrapolation" (from what the GF said) tells nothing about numbers in other cities, regions, countries, the universe. The situation elsewhere may be similar, but it also may be completely different, so all we're left with are assumptions.

If you want to build a case for more fingerpointing and complaining on that, go ahead, but don't expect me to find it reasonable.

I went out to dinner with a group of people from this course - so I have first-hand evidence that my GF was not telling lies to me about the politics of the people, as you seem to be implying.

The fact that I live with someone who has a degree in Feminism and considerable familiarity with the detailed contents of one such university course gets dismissed as "anecdotal" and "fingerpointing" says plenty about the pointlessness of this debate.

The original claim was that there were only a few hundred Rad Femmes in the world. I believe that to be nonsense and said why. No-one here has posted anything that suggests the original claim is true.

Plenty of ad-hom attacks, though. Unsurprisingly.

I don't imply this at all.

You simply can't - without further info - reasonably present this single, personal example as one which is universally true, which is what I am saying. And that you see it as a prob when I dare to point that out tells indeed something about "pointlessness" here.

If you want to believe, fine, but then don't try to sell belief as fact. That's all my replies were about.

                          • I really don't understand what Kid or Imran are arguing about. I admit I skipped several pages of this thread (since I last posted that's a lot). Pekka is obviously complaining about a subset of the feminism movement that he does not like, but which has nothing to do with the rest of feminism. Are you arguing that this subset does not even exist? Why do you keep insisting he is talking about the whole set? If I said I didn't like blue eyes with brown hair, it does not mean that I do not like blue eyes at all. I still can like blue eyes with blond hair. Are you so devoid of any actual kind of arguement that you have to totally ignore what is actually being said? It's like your in your own reality and not even arguing the same topic that the rest of us are.

                            • We're arguing that this subset is small and inconsequential, and thus not worth getting worked up over. I'm sure the "man-hating ****" feminazi exists. Hey, I love that scene in Chasing Amy as much as the next guy. But the signal to noise ratio is off. And that's really the only point I ever intended to make.

And dude, nobody really pays much attention to what Pekka says. Have you READ his posts?
