I'm puzzled as to why you think violence is never justified. I don't think it is often justified, but there are IMHO obvious exceptions. Then again, as a lefty agitator, I have a fundamental contempt for authority, so maybe it's just me.

I didn't say violence is never justified. I said I didn't think violence was a proper response in a civilized society. I said this knowing full well you would respond by saying Jenna, LA isn't civilized. I disagree, but the fact is they need to get their **** together down there.

I don't think this violence was justified. Was there a grievance? Yes. Was it justifiable for people to be upset? Yes. Does that mean it's acceptable to beat the **** out of somebody? No. Not here, anyway.
