I haven't seen Grindhouse yet, but I will. I like Tarantino movies.

I thought this was about finishing watching a porn after you've done your thing. . I didn't even know porn movies had endings

As for regular movies, almost always if I've paid for it (rented, or theater), but if it's some random movie on cable I'll change channels.

Ever walk out of a movie in the theatre? I'm too cheap...
          Interesting question.

With books, I try to force myself to finish even the ones who become unbearable.

With movies, I turn them off/ walk away if they're not interesting enough.

I can't explain why the different attitude.

even the worse books are better than movies . Actually, I'm sure there are many bad books out there. I tend to read books by authors I know I like. They write a lot of books. In some ways it can be repetitive, but I know it will be decent.

I think I'm perhaps the only one who found them overrated. Though I'm thinking I should watch the extended versions, maybe it will seem more complete. I remember a lot of crap happening in the first movie, and no explanation. Parts seemed to be missing.

never walked out, but found myself checking my watch. I guess I was expecting it to be like an RPG game . I never read the books, so I can't go from those.

I walked out of Dumb and Dumber, they were right, and Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I seldom turn off a movie I'm watching. It has happened though. I've never done it at the cinema, but once it was very close. I was invited to The Grudge 2. That is one horrible movie!

I saw one movie that was really bad in the cinema a few years ago, Mulholland Drive. Really a bad movie. But I managed to get through it. All my friends except two(we were some 15 or so) went out, the last of them when the lesbian sex scenes came. The girls we went with thought it disgusting. So you better watch it Wezil, it having lesbian sex and all.

They were 14 and 15 all of them, if that is an explanation.

And I and two other friends sat it through. But really, what pissed me off was that the whole movie was a real mess. It was impossible to get what was dream and what was reality, not to speak of what scene #12 had to do with #13, what #13 had to do with #14, etc. A real mess. But boy did we have some interesting talks the next weeks, months and years(well, almost) on what really had happened in that movie.

No, that's no explanation at all But I guess I should blame my heathen upbringing...

Yeah, that's David Lynch for you. I think he's being deliberately cryptic, doing it for his own amusement. Seeing the audience and critics squirm when they try to understand his latest piece of 'art'...

that's supposed to be a pretty good movie. I want to see it. with the lesbo sex scene I have more reason to rent it. though in reality, I don't like lesbian scenes. never figured out why they are so popular in porn.
