Having said that, the guy doesn't deserve a beating for it.
In a perfect world, no. I just don't feel sorry for him.

We may have a difference of opinion when it comes to the appropriateness of ass beatings.

I just feel sorry for people like this guy and Cindy Sheehan (hope I got the right person). They are obviously grief stricken. Who am I to say how to deal with such grief? I don't think they are acting horribly, but a horrible thing has happened to them. I'm trapped between resentment for their opinion and sympathy for their loss. Either way, no law abiding citizen should be subject to violence of any sort especially not for voicing their opinion.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Actually I was thinking more of Chicagp, New York, Boston, Detroit, DC and Philidelphia for the shining example of this, but yeah *******s in the South get whats coming to them sometimes to.

                  Their opinions, no.

Victims should be listened to as bearers of witness though.

Not so much to an event as extensively covered in the media as the Iraq war, and which we are in the midst of, but to the many genocides that the perpetrators are so often so eager to hide from the light of day, and that their apologists wish to sweep under historical rugs.

Not usually, but that comment was particularly creepish.

When you die Kid, I will drag an effigy of you in a coffin around the country covered in cash to Republican conventions and anti-gay marriage rallies to show your support.

                          Obviously you won't mind.

Exactly. When Che posts an outrageously sounding news story without offering a source, I'd except the reason to be that the source is not credible and has a history of twisting reality for increased drama in stories.

I dunno what Pat is talking about but it does seem like the guy is kinda dodgy as he tried to kill the Marines who informed him of his son's demise.

Also I've seen nothing about this in Google.
