  • Why do Most People Have a Head of Something as Their Avatar?

Perhaps you observed this before (it's fairly obvious), but I only noticed it now. We are all free to choose our avatars from millions of possible combinations of shapes and colours, yet perhaps more than 2/3ds (I didn't really count) of all avatars contain a head of something (a human, an animal, a cartoon...).

    Why?

The head is the most human part. Think about it. You can lose your arms and legs, even another part, and you are still human like. But if you could lose your head and still be alive, wtf would you be?

I wonder what my avatar is.

              /me posts to check

... oh, this. Yes. Fortunately DanQ decided to stop being evil and fixed that little issue. I think I need to change my avatar.

You can't be dead if you're still (headlessly) alive.

Well, since nobody has achieved it yet - maybe a person can be both dead and alive in this case... Although, with only a head it probably really doesn't matter what you are then.

Your new avatar is cool but I liked the old one a little more.

Just because you do something doesn't mean everyone does, please in the future check your facts prior to starting a whole thread.
