When I was stationed in Germany, I was told that the Danish people love Americans and are still very thankful for defeating the Germans in WWII. I was also told that they still see the US as protecting them from Germany. Finally I was told that I should hook up with a Danish woman. Can any Danes comfirm this statements? I was never able to make it to Denmark, so I don't know.

Not to try to justify the outlook, but at least he was honest about his reaction, and seems to realize it is one to be ashamed of. (Though he could have been much more adamant on that point certainly.)

        More generally speaking...

Two wrongs don't make a right, but a lot of people don't seem to understand that, or even try to justify their glee in retribution. It happens all the time in "polite" society, even on these forums. Then those who admit to their mistakes, are honest with about them, get trampled down. The only "safety" these days is to never admit to any failing. Deny, deny, deny... we're backwards.

Love may be a bit too much, but generally we like americans, but not because they defeated the germans - there was a couple of other countries involved in that . The protection against germany is BS, but if you say soviet back in the cold war you might be right - today, I don't think that danes think US protects us against anyone.

About the danish women, well, stupid you, you were soo close to heaven and you missed it

Since you finns can't figure out how to handle finnish women, how the hell are you thinking you can handle danish ?

What is the fuss over 11th September. Can't people read date formats? Everyone knows the terrorist attacks were on the 9th November!

In fact I see perfect resonance between someone so emotionally, how should I say it, open, fungible, in the moment, whatever, that he CAN empathize and so well, and his own complete impulsiveness and irresponsibility on certain things.
This is why conservatives reviled him so much. Empathy is bad for stock portfolios.

Well, now you know the real secret behind 9/11. It's just a veiled plan to make people the world over use the American date format.

I don't know that Japher has ever made a serious post.

I did once... Had to edit it to avoid confusion. It was very profound, revealed the meaning of life in all it's glory. For a minute I was face to face with God himself and wondered if I should kick His ass. Then, Pekka posted after it, and I felt the WTFp feeling and edited the post because it was just wrong... like how farting in the shower ruins that "clean feeling".

I can't remember what the original post was, but it was AWESOME.

Personally, I find it odd that the Danes are more offended by my post than the French.

Ehrm, if you knew what french policy was, then you too would be offended if someone claimed you supported it.
