George C. Scott was fantastic in that role.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

Well, yeah, but I was going for slightly more obscure ones.

                      I loved this film.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

wich actually doesn't make more sense - still one of the best films ever.

On the brink of nuclear destruction american soldier worries about damaging private property
Well, if you step into the story and imagine the events as really happening then the male survivors went into a mine shaft complex populated with 10 women for each guy. If the male survivor is relating the story then maybe he appreciates having 10 healthy women to breed with and maybe that's why he loves the bomb. ou might also remember that at the end of his monologue the doctor, who had been wheelchair bound, leaps up on his feet, presumably in the hopes of being one of the men chosen to go into the mineshafts.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I keep meaning to see this movie. One of those must see movies I have not seen. Same with A clockwork Orange. I still haven't seen that yet either

A Clockwork Orange is more viscerally disturbing than Dr. Strangelove, but at least it doesn't deal with the threat of nuclear holocaust!
