Good gawd. You are on a run. What do you do, run a Google search on grotesque photos?Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead

The $80 warranty for the camera also covers any damage you might do to it; i.e. dropping it.
I'm not saying everyone should buy the warranty, but I have to disagree with consumer reports that it isn't used that often. Personally, I have used the warranties more often than not. Also, $40 for a 4 year warranty on the DVD player that would of cost me $400 to replace is not breaking even.

you'd really have to be an idiot not to get the best buy warranty on a decent piece of electronics from best buy.
its basically a free replacement of the equivalent purchase price 3 years later.
just think about what a 500 dollar whatever looked like 3 years ago. My guess is that it was smaller/slower/less whatever specs than the 500 dollar version is today. And, since I tend to be hard on electronics, things start to go wrong close to the warranty window, anyway, no need for me to purposely break things or cause a malfunction.

I bought a Sony VAIO at Best Buy almost 4 years ago. I could have bought an extended warranty, which for that item would have lasted 2 years. As many of you know earlier this year my computer completely crashed. I took it to the Geek squad. It took them 2 weks to determine that the problem was not hardware, but that some critical program had somehow gotten erased or contaminated, so the only way to fix my computer was to back up the hard drive then wipe it and re-install the basic programs. When I bought the machine years ago Best Buy installed the basic programs, but did not give me the discs, so the discs had to be ordered from the manufacturer. Best Buy wouldn't order the discs for me, they insisted that I order them myself. When I brought the discs in to them they took another 2 weeks to install them. Finally I brought the machine home I discovered that the back-up discs which I paid over $100 for them to make only contained useless data from the "Desktop" folders.
Subsequently I don't buy big ticket items from Best Buy anymore. The 'Geek Squad' is a joke."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!
