I find it strange that the only one of the three that still survives, and civilization that has had the longest history as a great world power is the one close to being removed.

What's with all the civilization necrophilia?

          • China was never much of a world power until recently...They were isolated from most of Eurasia for thousands of years. And when they were attacked they tended to be conquered

I am satisfied with the selection of the last three civilizations. But as I have to choose, I take the Greco-Roman civ only because it has influenced my education much more than the Chinese one. A totally selfish point of view. And now I am unable to make a choice between Rome and Greece.

Rome and Greece were never world powers by your definition either, since they were also isolated. Both of those civs were also beaten and conquered. Heck, the Romans survived only one collapse. The Chinese have risen multiple times, which makes me think that China's civ was a lot more enduring than Rome's (and since Byzantium was ruled a different civ for this poll, people can't point to them).

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
