The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

              Is this a serious question?

What tf is meant by England/Britain? Stonehenge Britain? Round Table Britain? Industrial Revolution Britain? Imperial Britain? America's lap dog Britain?

Egypt... 5000 years ago there were lots of insulated bronze age villages along the banks of the Nile and just 500 years later there is this first fully organised state. For over 2000 (that is two thousand!) years they were the center of the world until they were conquered by Alexander. They had a huge influence on Greece and on Rome.

Without Egypt we wouldn't be where we are today, so:

              33 - Pers+ia
              25 - China
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
              Once again...

He did. By the time Alexander conquered Egypt it already had a history of 2000+ years. In those 2000 years Egypt had lost its independance several times. Where were the Persians all those years?

For influence on the world as we know it today the Greeks are number one, but for greatest civ there is no argument. Egypt wins hands down.

                    Which brings me to:
