So.... you're still not fine with the fact that the whole political spectrum is not dealing with this as the facts show? THose facts are what Flubber laid out. Why are you so obsessed with the "so called intellectuals"? You realize it isn't the group of intellectuals that fits the definition, in this case it's the authors and talking heads that some of the left wingers like.

    That hardly makes then intellectuals.

The most vocal group of preachers which is controlling what little remains of both the public and the scientific debate, see themselves as intellectuals. Rather sanctimonious types most of them, so I suppose the label of "intellectual" is not too far off the mark. Still, they're crooks more than anything else.

Hey I agree with you. But somehow I get this feeling you're talking about the left wingers whereas my point is this knows no political borders, it's all crap.

And it isn't being destroyed as fast as it use to be, but we still have a long ways to go. And it is still probably the largest environmental source for health problems in the US.

Well, the left wingers buy into the doomsday prophets' message more readily, I think that's pretty much a given. Some are obviously in on the unspoken political deal, and of course the headless chicken segment is never to be underestimated.

I know! I'm always hearing those darn commies mouthing off about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse or the Second Coming of the Christ. Sheesh, where do they get this crap from?

                      Spoiler:
There's an underlying story here independent of these articles and somewhat important for some Polytubbies. In early August, "Steve" (of climateaudit.org, the site that TCO/GP is so fond of visiting and contributing to) corrected NASA's ground temperature readings. Once pointed out to NASA, the agency quickly modified the temperature readings, which makes some of the more sensational claims by the global warming folks indeed untrue (but, it should be noted, does not impact the overall argument much one way or another). "Steve" made it into all sorts of mainstream press for these corrections.

NASA releases most/all of its data in a form that people like "Steve" can sift through and point out errors -- or at least the data will be obtainable through a FOIA request. "Mann" and his like refuse to release the underlying data for their work, and therefore the data is not open to the sifting process that "Steve" uses.

By the way, 1934 is now the warmest year on record.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

The Global Warming alarmists are the anti-science religion that is trying to forcibly indoctrinate and convert everyone while suppressing dissent. And the news media are their patsies, their stooges, their puppets.

So, we should be affraid of the UN, some scientist fellas and their media stooges?

Did anyone get killed for not adhering to Global Warming Alarmism? Beaten? Lost his job? Embarrased? Inconvenienced? Looked at disapprovingly?

                        What?

Saying that there is no climate change is the most boring way to be a rebel EVER.

Only idiots are saying that there are no climate change, but what has that to do with the OP ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
