  • Which Crusader State For You?

Here's a nice esoteric history question for the hard core buffs out there.

Which old crusader state from medieval Outremer is the one for you?

I picked the Kingdom of Jerusalem, just because.
    17
The Kingdom of Jerusalem: sacred, strong and sought-after
    23.53%
    4
The Principality of Antioch: rich, rich, rich and half-built on a mountain
    52.94%
    9
The County of Tripoli: has-been runner-up but with lots of cool castles
    5.88%
    1
The County of Edessa: sentimental and short-lived
    5.88%
    1
The Principality of Galilee: submissive and second-string vassal
    5.88%
    1
The Lesser Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia/Banana Republic/Other: for the eccentric die-hards
    5.88%

Why only in Outremer? I take that one of the Teutonic Order. Heresson will love that

It is -- you are on the internet, answering my silly OT poll question.

The Norman Conquest of England was sanctified by a Papal banner, and the Reconquista was also a Crusade.

Yep, and there were also crusades against heretics, such as the Albigensian Crusade.

But this thread is entirely devoted to the Crusader States established in Outremer.

edessa - there's something very appealing about that story.
