        Yes, but now all it means is that the farm it was produced on hasn't used certain chemicals for the past eighteen months or so, verdad? At least for vegetables, which are the only crop you're concerned with. As a family friend once put it, "you can grow your crops in pig **** from the farm next door, and those pigs can be fed with anything the farmer damn well pleases, and your farm will still be certified 'organic.'"
