My favorite thing about Summer is BBQ. I BBQ at least 3 times per week during the summer. Several years ago I gave away my gas grill to return to the slow ways of charcoal and woods to supply my fire, and haven't looked back. I love smoking my foods (a form of cooking, I don't put them in rolling papers), I love using chips, planks, and my fire box. We stock up on meat at loval FFA auctions and pretty much am able to have chicken, pork, of steak anytime I want...
Even with all this, in Ohio, it tends to rain more in the summer than it did in California. I won't grill in the rain since my bbq is cast iron and will rust. I went to dollar stores yesterday to find a cheap Webber gril, but the started at $80!
Thus, what I'm look for is some thing good to make on hot summer days that are too wet to grill and won't heat up the house too much (read, uses the oven). I'm thinking Panini, any other ideas?
