I think that's just the usual anti-zombie propaganda. They do have a lot of characteristics associated with being alive. But too bad, most people don't take time to find out about zombie culture if they meet a zombie, they're just interested in taking them out.

I think it's racist, or worse

All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

If someone thinks they have had sex with or killed a zombie, vampire or werewolf, they shouldn't be accused of either necrophilia, bestiality, or murder.

But probably best to lock them up anyway.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure D&D is an authoritative source when it comes to this, and it disagrees with you; zombies are undead. Clerics can turn them, they use negative energy, etc.

Bill Cosby used to do a bit where a guy turned into a werewolf in the middle of a haircut.

Are they "undead." Wikipedia says "yes."

                    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about the undead. For other meanings, see Zombie (disambiguation).

A zombie is an animated human body devoid of a soul. In contemporary versions these are generally reanimated or undead corpses, which were traditionally called "ghouls." Stories of zombies originated in the Afro-Caribbean spiritual belief system of Vodoun (Voodoo).
A thought ghouls were weirdos who dug up dead bodies and ate them.
