The foot got me. I know that was hell, on top of all else.

Most of us know the small shoes pain. Just think that you have a very long day, and you can't take them off at any point, and you have to ignore it, then the pain just gets so bad that it's difficult but you just have to suck it up. It's hits your morale when you feel the moist, so you know you're cut, not just a blister, you're actually cut and the heel part still grinds the cut for a long time .

I had the same thing in the army too, I got boots that were 2 sizes too small. It was bad because we had to run all day and it was our first days so... I had horrible blisters. I did learn about taking care of my feet there later on though. Blisters aren't that bad though, they hurt but you can just take a needle and pop them out, clean your feet and tape them up and continue, that one you can just .. basically grind it out. This one truly sucked though. Also I'm glad the other stuff I bought just for this didn't go to waste.

I would post a picture of my wound...Ecthy has seen it and it is not pretty. Although it has calmed down a lot since then and is healing up a treat. Still, they didn't put enough bleeding sutures in the thing and thus it has been partially open

Anyway, that picture is just a medal of dedication to the position. Means nothing, give me 10 more.

It hasn't been sutured but I have had to have some special stuff put over it to bring it together - the other sutures were removed. I have to leave it for 5 days and then go back to the doctor - hopefully it should then heal up.

OK, let's talk business. I figure I can choose from Hong Kong, Singapore and few US locations to spend a year or two in. Most likely a year though.

My problem is between Hong Kong and this one unnamed Uni in the US, that in our field just ranked #1. That includes the whole world. So... basically... Hong Kong is the dream location and once in a life time (I'v ebeen talking about China for a long time), then again, #1 ranking... that's impossible to top.

Decisions, decisions... any ideas?

What part of the US?

I think a lot of business is moving into the East and that there is a lot of opportunity to be had there. Still, since you have wanted to come to the US for some time and a #1 ranking. I would consider the location in and make my decision based off of that, and nothing else, since the two options are pretty much equal all else considered.

It's not from here that I read it ranks high, it's after I heard it ranks high that I checked it out. Doctorates... a little club, sounds really nice . So, in security, we'd rather go with CIS than anything else, for obvious reasons. Technical background preferred though. Good thing I have it
