I got an generic loratadine like Japher suggested. Thirty pills for under $8. Haven't tried it yet as these last couple have been moderate allergy days.

Generic loratadine sells for less than $.04 each at sams. You got robbed.
It's not a "traditional" antihistamine like the kind you spritz up your nose, you need to take it ahead of time. Although it may be anecdotal (and I couldnt find any quick data to support this view) many people (including me) find that the effects improve with constant use until they reach a plateau of effectiveness (OTOH that typeof effect is consistent with this drugs mechanism of action ie a competitive H1 receptor antagonist)Last edited by SpencerH; June 17, 2007, 21:09.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

yeah, I have to take it daily for it to really "work", though I do notice the effects just taking it as needed. It's just not as potent if taken that wayComment

As for the cost, I live in a smallish tourist town on the Oregon Coast 60 miles from anywhere. They tend to charge a premium for pretty much everything.
I think I'll suffer a bit if I have to rather than take a med when it isn't absolutely needed. Whenever I go inland from the coast I really need something so according to your instructions I'll start taking it the day before I go, that should do the trick, and thanks.
