3 years for a Biochem degree? At my Uni most people take 5 years for a Biochemistry major instead of the "normal" 4 years because it requires more credits then most majors, it's almost like a double major.

Oh man, Biochem. That's some heavy stuff I wish I could learn, but alas my math abilities are worse than my posting . I'm jealous of you. Congrats on surviving .

Higher level Chem classes suck majorly. Analytical Chemistry just about killed me.

Yeah, because of my NVLD it took me forever to get down simple stuff like calculating molar mass. I really wish I could explore bio chem more so I could study neurology and pharmacology in depth.

I have NVLD associated with my Asperger's Syndrome and I got through the lower level stuff decently well. Maybe your's is more severe them mine?

I still have 2.5 months to go until my last exam. All because of a 1.5 month long student strike.

I'll be looking at DNA polymerase kappa and how its regulated in response to UV damaged induced lesions on the DNA. Its got loads of C-terminal motifs that look like they're used in recognising signals such as ubiquitination of PCNA and other factors, for example, that occurs at stalled replication forks.

BTW: In England, there's Middlesex, an Essex, a Sussex, and a Wessex, but nowhere is there a Nosex.
Had a Wessex, got rid of it. Have a Norfolk and Suffolk. I think its a crying shame that the proud county of Sussex has been split in two.

On a much nicer side, I'm originally from Sussex. Brighton-area specifically (anyone think it shows? ). So I'm going back home after 21 years away.

Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
