It's like wooah.. I mean this is one of them dream things. Now it is in my grasp. Remember, I have perfect score, when ever I've gone into an interview, I've always gotten the job. Let's keep the record perfect! One thing doesn't match, usually I want the job, but this time... it's a dream. That means, that I have to push the thoughts of failure away, because that would be so tough to not get this spot, now that I can smell it. I mean think about it, the only position that is meant for people with my interests, spesified security field. Something I've done on my own you know? Something I do for fun. Something I really love to do, and now this top notch place and woaah... I mean if I don't get accepted, it will be very disappointing. This is my life kind of stuff.

But back with the positive thoughts, I do think I'm a strong candidate, simply because I'm the guy who has been chosen to be checked out EVEN when I haven't graduated yet and I quiet clearly said, that by the time the job starts, I have not graduated. OK, and this is a rule issue, Unis are institutions, state etc. OK so it's not like they can make their own rules. So, in order for me to be accepted, I need to have my MSc. I said this in my application, that my weakness is not having this requirement filled. I was honest about it, I was asked about it in the phone and you know what? They still want to see me. So that means to me, that I'm a strong candidate. Not weak. Strong.

And that's good, because the other stuff, I can do. It's like a guy goes there who knows what they're talking about, is interested, can join the discussion and bring his own insights, and it's like we have the same things that interests us all, and it's weird because no one is usually interested and you can't go to school for these - yet. So how do you know? You know because you are passionate about it. I'm a Security Nerd (as opposed to War Nerd I guess), and I've done stuff on my own. This might be my destiny.

YEAAAAH! I wondered how I faired, since I thought my application was strong, I wrote an open application about it which states why I want the job, what I can do etc and attached my CV. I'm greatly behind most people applying there, since I suppose everyone else has their degree. But none of them suckers can beat my passion and I can show that by my work I've done on my own time. Now it pays off, make it pay off big boy! YEAAAH!

I need dressing tips. I'm NOT sure, I don't want to overdress.

By the way folks, don't get nervous. This is the way I deal with the pressure. I talk gibberish, go over all the possibilities that can happen, play the trumpet naked and worry alot, so when the day of executing the plan comes, I do it like a rock star.

Oh I forgot to mention, this is a researcher position. So this is a job and a study position. And the project is freaking interesting, OK, it's an international collaboration, cross disciplinary. So... I mean what perfection, if I get it, this current job ends at the end of August, this new would start September. It can't get any more perfect than that. They have a nice budget, so this whole thing is totally new.

How perfect would this be? Exciting as well, shoudl I get the position, it means I'd have to start to look for a place to live in there immidiately. I'd be moving there SOON. So exciting! I have to gather all my superior powers to ace this thing. Plus not to mention, that this shaves off time from my plans as well, I figured I'd have a doctorate study position in one year, because you have to graduate, wait for the application times, blaablaablaa, so at least a year until I'd have that new position. But if I get this, it means I have it NOW, so one year off from, no foolishness or wasting time. It would mean, that in 3 years or so, I'd graduate from there. Did I tell you about the guy who just graduated from there, who was 'in this position' for his time? I know him, he got CRAAAAZY connections, he was working as a consultant and senior advisor for a big entity while studying and researching, and immidiately after graduation, he had a high position ready. Talking about CSO stuff, ok, in a very known place. That's just the kind of connections they have, I mean this guy was doing news as well. So I see this position as _crazy_, it's such an opportunity. And I just might get it, even before it was my time

oh and the best part? This supports my ultimate goal and dream perfectly, what we're doing is that we're researching certain security things with leading Unis, and then of course we have some results, but the other part is applying that knowledge into training. That translates into consulting, consulting businesses and top level high end user training. You know how much money there is in this business, especially training? You know how much those things cost as a service?

It's outrageous. My friend just went on a 3 day training that his company paid for, it costed 1600 euros per person, 6 hours of lectures per day. And that was just going over certain standards, not really high end even. And that's pretty normal price as well. There's a LOT of money in it. The best part is I don't care so much abotu the money in this thing because I love this field. It's just an added bonus it happens to pay very well in certain jobs people do.

Ok, and like I said, these people are _very_ well connected. There arent' better connections in Finland. Man, I'm excited! Because it's a problem to... to establish your company in a field that works by your reputation basically. So I could go about it, but the difficult part would be establishing name and getting those first big clients. That's a huge task, might take years and still not get the really big clients, because they already have people they're familiar with who do that for thme. But this? This is the connection network, the heart of it. I'd be validated through this, definitely. Not just an academic degree, but from the belly of the beast! Yeah!

Anyway I need to prepare to this very well. I'll give my best shot at this. If I fail, well, at least I gave it my best.

I need new clothes for this one. Also, I should go over some research methods, because the requirements included knowing qualitative and quantitative methods very well, so like... I mean I can list them, but I don't want to get caught by not knowing something. My only chance is being superior with knowledge to my competitors, since I don't have that degree they want. About the actual field, no worries. I'm comfortable with it. It's good, because I can talk the things I've studied on my own and what kind of stuff I've discovered.
