Only one style of Chicago pizza is thick crust, so please disabuse yourselves of the notion that it is somehow representative of Chicago style pizza. Our pizza has a thin crust on the bottom, cheese and "toppings" in the middle, and then maybe an additional crust above that, then sauce.

Thin crust is fine...
..as long as you take the toppings/cheese off of all the other slices and put them on one. Then you have yourself a good slice of pizza.

Is Pizza the best invented food or what?
Judging by the pic, the Chicago pizza looks nice, I like good tomato sauce. Cheese is great too, but too much of it can ruin it, I think there should be more sauce than cheese on a pizza.
On the other hand, the NY Pizza looks to be better.
I would love to try a traditional Italian Pizza IN Italy one day. It's gotta be one of those "do it before you die" things.be freeComment

If I'm in the mood for junk food, I prefer what we call "standard American pizzas" like the ones they serve at Pizza hut or Mikes, with plenty of sauce and topings. I'm not sure they're considered NY style. BTW, am I the only one here who thinks that Dominoes sucks?
