I said this is my birthday thread. I didn't say it was my birthday, although I did saywhat it was once.
Keep it coming though, that's just fine.

I know a guy who says that everyday. Be at a bar and say in passing it's his birthday. Free drinks. The guy is a con artist, I tell you.

Well, we could run a thread for every Poly Poster and someone bump it everyday, we "should" get it right once a year

I remember you saying it, and I did write it down... but I lost that. I do you recall that you said that it had something to do with the birth of rock and roll, which I think you attribute to Elvis and Ain't Nothing but a Hounddog... not sure what, but hey, I didn't really know you at the time. Though Tia did and I think she should remember.

This was 1954, and created a stir locally for Elvis.
It wasn't until 1955 that rock and roll "arrived".

celebrating "That's All Right" as the start of rock 'n' roll, from Rolling Stone magazine ...

Right. I remember that it was in 1955 when I first heard "You Ain't Nothin' but a Hounddog" on a jukebox*. I was blown away.

I wanted my parents to buy me a guitar. They made me take piano lessons instead. I HATE the piano!

                            This thread cracks me up.

I was born June 7, 1955 at about 9:25 pm, at St. Ann's hospital in Abilene, Texas.
I was a "blue baby". Not breathing right. Nun flying down the hall with me in her arms, as I'm told.
