              Look, the problem here is in your eyes and your eyes only.

              The reason the photo is funny is because "I have a dream" is very very famous, and the minor change to loltalk is amusing exactly because it was so similar to the original phrase.

              I did not attach all the stereotype racist baggage that you see in this photo, and most probably the (Israeli) creator of this photo also didn't.

              Dr. King was not dumbed down, nor was he compared to a cat. loltalk comes from online games and forums and is essentially "internet speak". It is an evolution of language that is studied by linguists.

              Claiming that Dr. King is compared to a cat because the thread title happens to be "lolpets" instead of the general "lolspeak funnies" is a bit over the edge.

                Imran - you forget - this is ok as they are refering to a white male of a presumably christian persuation - it's ok to laugh at them, but not anyone else.
                I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

                    This is completely absurd. Noone is depicting MLK as uneducated just as noone is depicting poor kittens as generally being too stupid to spell correctly here. Captions in lolwhatever pics don't claim to show some kind of "reality" of the depicted like racist stuff would claim to do when it shows degrading things.....
