Why don't you just go the whole hog and say that you'd like to exterminate the whole human race? It seems a logical outcome of your fundamentally misanthropic position.

Are you trying to be as obtuse as possible?

Just face the fact that your idea wont work.

Nah. People do something like a couple of hundred W while driving a bicycle. You could probably keep your light operating for quite some time.

The energy expended in producing, distributing and maintaining the suckers in addition to the increased food eaten (becase if you work out more you eat more) would probably make it a net energy loss.

I'll walk to the refrigerator, but that's where I draw the line.

Hmm, it seems that this idea has been taken more seriously than I would have thought.

You can make enough to light the bulbs in the gym, it seems.

The food part should be a wash if runners just ran on energy producing treadmills instead of the the energy using kind.

Treadmill production could just be a case of replacing the existing energy using ones with energy producing models of some sort

I'm not saying it would work but I can't see how it would ever be a net energy loss
