Well, I certainly don't want to look up and see "EnergySolutions."

No. Nor are there tournaments sponsored by even less famous brands, such as Gaylord or EnergySolutions.

            1. If people ask if something is "the stupidest thing you have ever seen"-- the answer is invariably "NO". There has always been something stupider

            2. If people ask "Can people be THIS stupid?" --the answer is invariably "YES"-- There is no level of stupidity that is beyond attainment

            ------------------------------------------------------------------

            To the specific question

Yes -- this is not the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Its an arena with a corporate name. While I don't love the name, I don't find it particularly stupid or offensive.

Of course there have been other famous Gaylords..

                      Lemme think

Gaylord Grafestbui Found a mid level cyclonic force in the Flotosphere, if I remember just above the gases of the Stratosphere..anyhoo, its where the Zero Gravity studies of Mice mating in space produced an extended stay of erection, thus causing their mates to give birth to triplets as opposed to other studies where they only gave birth to single offspring

Then their was Gaylord Cessanini I believe a 15th century French Musician, born of some Italian Heritage from Fathers side and mother was Deutche-African decent. He was a passé du resistance, if my recollection is correct, not being able to join any organized cellist society, he was often found in parks playing with himself or to a small gathering, a simple man with his mouth harp moaning away and his cello, slowy pulling the bow across, making almost primitive gutteral sounds. He ate himself into oblivion, almost as if he never existed.

These two also represent figures in my memory of famous Gaylords
