Every advance in the history of the world is a result of black people

I mean cmon dude. The most important contribution of the Jews to civilization was monotheism, which we just might have gotten from Egypt, which was black doncha know
Everybody borrows from everybody.

I merely mentioned semites. My post was a pretty legitimate discussion the issues with black athena, I think. Not my fault if folks see that and start in on the Jew stuff.

I was under the impression that the Phonecians were who we got the alphabet from, did not know they were related to the Jewish populations of the same area.

I don't know who people can claim black history is not taught when every school kid can name the inventor of peanut butter, but not the steam engine or blast furnace.
Stream engine = James Watt, Scottish.

ancient phoenician is very close to ancient Hebrew. The alphabet is almost the same, the language is almost the same (example, Carthage - hellenized form of Phoenician original presumably close to Hebrew Kiryat Chadash - new town, which is what Carthage was = Hannibal = Grace of Baal. Chen means the same in Hebrew, Baal means master/lord/husband in Hebrew.
If you read the bible closely, you will note that the early kings of Israel were closely allied to Hiram of Tyre. When the Jews strayed from monotheism, they often worshiped Baal.

correction - apparently Bernal DOES mention Semitic influences in Black Athena.

Stop it! This is a jew-discussion-free thread.
How can you have a serious discussion of the black athena question without discussing Semites?

I read the first bit of Black Athena (written by a white man). Bernal gives a good case for the previously untraced etymology of certain Greek vocabulary to the Egyptian. However, the proto-Phoenician contribution is about three times as large. The cultural influence seems to be even more restricted: to the uppermost classes.
Egyptian culture essentially failed to penetrate sub-Saharan Africa. No matter how many blacks drifted up into Egypt, "black" was never Egyptian.

I'm just nauseated about talking about your jewishness all the time. Your love of circumcision, kosher food, and weird strings hanging from the side of your pants has no place in a thread designed to mock reverse-racism black people.

1. I thought the etymologies are one of the more heavily criticized part os BA (thats what Wiki says)
2. Im of the impression that certain aspects of Egyptian culture, mainly the political structure, did penetrate and influenced the west african kingdoms (via Nubia and the Sahel) I read that before BA came out. Of course it wouldnt prove that egypt was "black"

Oh its about mockery, not a serious discussion of Bernals thesis. Carry on, carry on.
