      Some were just tortured, and put to death later. Also, what we call "torture" may just have been tough interrogation.

          Remember: saints have to have performed two verifiable miracles. Paris accomplished one by becoming world famous while having absolutely neither talent nor any other redeming quality whatsoever.



          St. Saddam Hussein:

          Miracles: (1) Making his weapons of mass destruction vanish and (2) ruling over a country filled with Shia, Sunni Arabs and Sunni Kurds without having any civil war break out.
