Anyone know how to read Arabic?

It is not arabic, at least it does not make sense to me. The first word is dust (dost), and I believe it means "friend" in persian.
Mim and alif maqsurah are connected in a strange way, as well as the alif maqsurah is "connected" with kh after it (kh "gives hand" to it), which means that either the guy wanted to press ya' and pressed (very similar) alif maqsurah by incident, or he was pressing signs without knowing them."I realise I hold the key to freedom,
