    Freudian slip?

At midday I eat lunch, read the paper, check online for sports & other news, Poly.

If taking an abbreviated lunch, sometimes it's eat & read the sports section. Then go back to work (and check Poly).

      Oh, Lord.

Kid got an accounting degree without any meaningful understanding of how equilibrium price is determined via supply and demand curves, and Lawrence of Arabia got an economics degree without any meaningful understanding of what standard deviation is.

I eat, or work. One of the two.

God, it must suck to have a job where you actually have to show up certain places at a certain hour...
Based on that criteria I recommend you become a train driver for British Rail.

That's quite easy, if you take the right modules. If you take economics without econometrics (only really possible in the UK if you do a joint degree - econometrics is purely option for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, for example), you can easily not ever bother with standard deviation. As for Kid, ccounting has nothing to do with supply and demand curves.

Now, if you reversed those around, I'd be a lot more scared.

That and accounting degrees are a complete waste of time.

Accounting does rely on supply and demand, that is if you do anything on pricing models.

About 1 day a week I go out and have a big lunch at a sit down place

The other 3-4 days a week I pick up a sub sandwhich or some Thai food or whatnot and usually eat it at my desk while reading the paper, surfing the net. Once in a blue moon I actually work during that period
