    A) that poll referencing a man would exclude Hillary... on second thought perhaps not.
    B) Hillary could still be pre-menapausal.

      A) Har. Har. Har.
      B) That's only about a week, tops, out of every month (I think; obviously, I've never had a period). And that's not a religious obligation unless she keeps old Hebrew cleanliness rules or something. There's also some practical purpose for the pa--wait, why am I giving this much of an answer? See my response to A).

Why not? They gave leadership of the free world and command of the US nuclear arsenal to a man who drank the blood and ate the flesh of a human being as part of a religious ritual. It isn't as if Catholics catch much hell for that.

Apparently according to Newsweek we've got a seriously delusional deranged POTUS carrying the football as we speak.

You'll notice we've only ever had one Catholic president; anyway, amend that to "drinks wine and eats a guitar pick made out of wheat" and it doesn't sound so bad. I doubt JFK was all that devout anyway, what with the whole chasing-tail thing.

Oh we're going to what something is now and not what it represents in religious ritual? When did we change tracks?

Get real. All Christians, or almost all, have Communion in some shape or form. It's not thought of as cannibalism, and it isn't shocking. Covenant Underwear is unique to the Mormons, and very hard to take with a straight face. Anyone who can take it seriously and does is suspect.

So could that same peculiarity apply to... say people that observe dietary restrictions? How odd and quaint. Anyone that observes such restrictions surely must be off their respective rockers.

Slippery slope to all kinds of bigotry.

Or possibly not a religious bigot? Or maybe they could think of reason's not to vote for Mitt beyond the stupid one you seem to be harping on?

So you'd be opposed to an Orthodox Jew being President for the same reason? Or are we only bashing Mormons for their irrational belief in the supernatural?
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

All the republicans running for president are running on a platform of continuing Bush's Iraq policy, or escalating it. That issue alone will sink any candidate that still holds that position come 2008. The Iraq war will only get more unpopular.

It's times like these that I gain respect for Che. You know when we say the same thing albeit in different ways.

So far as I can tell we agree on Abortion rights and Avoiding religious bigotry.
