Trust me, HPV has been known to cause cervical and throat cancer for years now. This really isn't new.

There's a German article here:
...which says most of the recent media articles about the link between oral sex and cancer are not very serious and way too alarmist.
What they say is mainly that the overall risk for getting these types of cancer is still very low (13 cases per 100000 people in Germany), and oral sex just increases it slightly. They also say - as mentioned in this thread - the basic finding that links to oral sex was known for quite some time (they mention a French study from 2004) and still oral sex is only one of many ways to get throat cancer....BlahComment
