OK, there's a product at the store that costs 9.99. Because they'll just round it up, I end up losing a good cent of mine.
SO why don't they just put the real price I really have to pay? If I have 1 cent I pay extra, can I store it in some account so when they build up, maybe I can buy something with it? Why not?
Does the store get to keep that one cent? Do they punch it in as 10 euros paid, 9.99 it cost so .. what happens to that one cent? It's a damn racket, that's what it is.
On another news, I did what I usually do, that is use my ID to get free danish and a cup of coffee. You see, our school building always have these.. gatherings of all kinds, business community, what not. People do their events there sometimes, because the place suits it well and they got nice equipment etc. So there's always catering. This happens at least once a week if not more. Sometimes there's some good stuff.
I always go and get mine. Well it's not really mine but so what. Anyway, today the catering person said I have to have a badge because if I don't have a badge, she can't serve me because it's for the registered guests. So. I flipped my job ID, and because it's obviously a staff ID, you know. What is she going to do? She knows it's not the official badge for the event, but why would staff need one anyway. I did it with authority and with great dissatisfaction for her attitude that she was giving me, that I not only took the danish and the cup of coffee, I walked away to my office to eat them and about an hour later I came to get another cup of coffee. Why? I can't be bothered to pay for it. It's not like I stole it. They gave it to me. I do this every week. I like it.
