I liked the guy, but he was waaay too old. That and the establishment of "he's due it's his turn, he's entitled to it" didn't sit well with me.

I was quite happy with the division of power at the time* with Billy having to deal with GOP congress. And all in all, I thought 'gasp' Clinton was doing fairly well for himself (despite the fact that I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him).

* 2 years later I was revoking my affiliation with the GOP for the witch hunts 'gainst Bill. I likely would have voted Dem in 2000 were it not for the fact that they put up Gore. Same again in 2004 had the Dems not put up Kerry.

You'll find oil companies are one of the MOST conservative industries for investment. Talk about slow and plodding in contrast to other industries. Very low risk takers.
